The whole experience was first rate. Easy pick up at. BRADLEY airport,simple check in, and I was underway in under 45 minutes.
I rented from Dollar--same building Great staff. New clean cars Easy rent and express return. Very happy!!
The WORST rental car company I've ever encountered!! I waited for 35 minutes for their shuttle that NEVER came to pick me up from the airport. The ENTERPRISE driver took pity on me and brought me to Thrifty. No way to contact them, automatically sent to a call center in India. Now on my return flight, they are CLOSED!! I have to wait until they open at 5am. NEVER AGAIN! Also, they had no card to choose from. They literally had one mid size SUV, that's it!
I am making this review to warn everybody to stay away from Thrifty. I called and told them my husband did not have a credit card but that he was flying into Bradley Airport in Connecticut they told me that all he had to do was have his debit card his round trip ticket and he would have to pay a 15% increase on the rental. We pay $236 to reserve the car when he went there he was denied the car cuz he did not have a credit card even though I asked these people three times they told us that it was being cancelled that he had to go ride somewheres else when I called all these numbers they gave me and spoke to numerous people in India I was told that I wasn't able to get my refund because it was past the pickup time. Speaking to my bank I found out they even though I made the reservation in the United States they gave me an international charge because it was done through a company in Dublin Ireland other people have complained that they had charges through Canada and elsewhere. Every time you try to speak to somebody above another person they keep telling you that they're busy and there's no one there to help you. The police have also been informed of this information and I guess they've had dealings with him before because Thrifty is not on Airport property so they do not have to follow those airport rules you read on their website. I just don't want anybody else that the suffer my husband had to suffer walking with his bags to find a way to get to his mother's house up in Massachusetts or me being sick calling these people finding out what's going on with our money. I'm still fighting this now and nobody has any answers for you nobody seems to really care that they took your money and they never gave you a car. Please be very very careful when renting from a place that says they're on the airport because they are probably are not they don't know where anything is they're just there to collect money and tell you how sorry they are.
A little quirky if you are trying to drop off a car, and get a rental. Parking for your vehicle is offsite. They are happy to shuttle you to the offsite parking. Odd since they have plenty of space at the rental facility itself. Otherwise, the cars I have rented for long trips have been good. Good counter and shuttle driver service.
