Return is not helpful with early flights, 4am return gate opens, flight leaves at 5am, creates rush
Clean, friendly, prompt, no hassle experience. U get what u pay for☺
Excellent! Used to use Budget until I was scammed by them into buying unnecessary insurance. My insurance company said AVOID BUDGET RENTAL CAR! Hertz on the other hand was great!
So, you cab get a rental car anywhere; you choose the company for all the other incidentals: time, efficiency, and customer service. THIS HERTZ GETS ALL OF THESE WRONG, AND TAKES AN HOUR AND A HALF TO GET YOU IN YOUR CAR. The shuttle from the airport was full, so they told us ( toddler and pregnant woman) to wait for the next one (25 more minutes). The counter attendant was nice enough, but when i complained about the shuttle situation, he said they didn't have enough shuttle drivers or counter attendants ( essentially voicing his own dissatisfaction in his job, instead of assessing my concern). He offered me a free upgrade from the standard size vehicle that i had reserved, but i didn't take it because the gas mileage would be significantly worse, and we were two adults and a small child, and needed to drive a long way. So, no real compensation for my wasted time, and irate toddler. With the toddler, we needed a carseat. I told the attendant that the kid weighs 35 lbs; we waited at the curb, and were brought the two different seats they offered, wrapped up in plastic ( so indiscernible). I grabbed the slightly bigger one ( which seemed more similar in size to our carseat at home), carried it, with toddler and and luggage ( not an easy feat) to the row with the standard cars ( at least 100 yards). Once i unwrapped the carseat, it turned out to be the big kid, 40 lb and up variety. So, the toddler and i have to walk back to the office, carrying the wrong carseat ( did i mention, I'm pregnant?), to trade it for the correct one. The outdoor attendant traded with me, and i had to carry the other carseat, while wrangling the toddler, back to the car. I unwrap this carseat, and all of the straps for installation were twisted, and mangled, so i couldn't tighten them properly. After 20 minutes wrestling with the seat to get it in properly ( so, you know, my son isn't rocking around in the backseat), we are finally good to go. I would have appreciated a check in or something, as i visibly wrestled with the seat in the car, but nothing from the staff. In finally leaving the parking lot, the exit attendant said goodbye by saying, " we really appreciated seeing you all tonight," in a super sarcastic tone. Just a reminder that the staff hates it here, and have no intent to offer a positive customer service experience. When all was said and done, it took us an hour and a half to get the rental car; unacceptable HERTZ.
Friendly staff with quick check in and out. Didn't get the Jeep I reserved. Not really a surprise, as I have been told that is usually the case. Got talked into a"great prepay" gas price. Hertz got a half a tank of gas free, on me. So the "discount reservation rate" ended up being more than $50 for each day. Plus fuel. More than initial quote, due to the taxes and extra fees. Non of which can be avoided. Car rental quote should be like airfare, All inclusive. Truth in advertising.
