I called and booked an appointment for a style. Simple updo for an evening event. My girlfriends recommend this salon. Don't know how a person can mess up basic hair requests. I'm an easy going, not picky, hair grows back kind of person. How "Jessica Hill" hairstylist, messed up my hair is beyond me. I was kind & still tipped her but she's terrible. Very snotty. Bragged about her daughter & how much better she is than other children. Lectured me & totally stressed me out. Even started complaining about her husband & how they've been through "20 babysitters". With her snotty attitude it didn't surprise any of us listeners she's been through so many. Others around me even noticed & raised eyebrows. I have no clue how anyone can stand working with her. I cannot go back to this salon out of fear of running into her. My girlfriends all agreed she's terrible as well. We all agreed we will not be going back as long as Jessica Hill works here. We hope the owners realize & get rid of this terrible stylist.
i LOVE this salon. I came to this salon from a busy "higher end" salon and I love this place. It's nice to go somewhere and feel like you're taken care of and not just a client/appointment. I hate all the gossip of big salons, and how impersonal they are. I see Jessica and she always takes her time to make sure my color and cut will work for me not only in the salon, but at home when I am styling my hair myself !! I brought my mom in and she said she's in love too! The other stylists I've met are extremely kind and helpful and even take the time to give me tips and tricks while I'm in the salon.
To owner: YES this did happen at your salon, lies aren't appreciated.
Bottom line: great stylists, affordable prices, comfortable environment.

I very recently moved out of the central Connecticut area into Windsor locks. I have had the same hair stylist cut my hair for the past 20 years and was VERY nervous about having a new stylist cut my hair. I found Artistic Hair Salon and saw a stylist named Jessica. She was very nice and took the time to know how I wanted my hair to be cut and made me feel very comfortable! I had a great experience and will have no problem going back!
I found Artistic Hair on the internet about a year ago because the stylist I had and really liked moved away. My hair is very thick which makes it necessary to use a razor to cut the layers properly. Not many stylists I have found do this. Leah not only gave me a great cut but shared her expertise about my hair, products and cuts that would and wouldn't work on my hair. And she does so without trying to hard sell me lots of products. I have watched the other stylists, too, and they seem to be very competent and professional with cut and color as well. Everyone is nice, it is a low pressure, relaxing atmosphere and every head I have seen walking out of the salon looks great. Thanks for caring so much about your work, ladies. You do a great job!
