My wife & I went to Long View RV just to check out some of the different models we were interested in and was greeted by Barbara Talbot, Sales Rep. She was friendly and very helpful. We explained what we were interested in and she showed us several different models. It just so happened that a model that was on our list was just traded in 2 days before; a Thor 2016 Ace 29.2 with just over 7,000 miles at a reasonable price. We were able to take it out for a test drive and found it easy to drive. With that we bought it on the spot. While we arranged for financing and insurance I was able to call and e-mail Barbara which were responded to in a reasonable amount of time. Which made the customer experience exceptional.
So we take the camper to Niagara Falls before parking it and we find that curtains are crooked in master bedroom, curtain in living room was missing screws and the other curtain was crooked. which is technically manufacturing so can't really hold them accountable. Screen had a tear in it. Microwave does not work funny one thing we did not check during walk through figure it's a new camper we know how to use one but doesn't work. The stabilizer worked in walk through get to camp ground and does not want to come down needed a little help. Remote worked in walk through skip every other option when we got to camp ground.
Like LongView just make sure you are thorough when purchasing your RV.
The only part of the organization that could have been more customer friendly was the finance/accounts payable department. There was an apparent disconnect on warranty coverage.
Very happy with our salesperson "Tony" who was very accommodating and helpful. Our demo on the unit was also very good. The whole process was very smooth and I would recommend Long View as a great place to buy a camper.
I was looking for a travel trailer and had a great experience at Longview. Rem listened to what I was looking for and helped me choose the best vehicle for my needs. They gave me an excellent price as well. John was very thorough in showing me how my travel trailer worked. I would highly recommend coming here!
To end on a positive note after Mike's briefing we found out that every month they have a monthly birthday luncheon and it just so happened that the day we picked up our RV it was party day. We were invited to have lunch of ham, hot baked beam mixture, salad, cake, ice cream, drinks plus more. We were both starving so we really appreciated the luncheon. Plus we got to meet the owner and his wife. She was the hostess and chief.
I am writing this review for my boyfriend David B. we loved the service we received when purchasing the RV everyone was very helpful. But a few days later when we came to pick it up it was time to do our walk through no one cleaned it there was sawdust everywhere even in refrigerator, white goo on the rear bumper, the dinette chairs had white dusting as well as sticky goo and nicks, fingerprints all over the ceiling in the bathroom from repairing the molding that was coming off. A few other things that they did not clean so very disappointed in the cleaning crew I don't think they even went into our camper to clean it. It was noon time their day was over.
All staff were extremely professional and accommodating to our "newbie" questions and requests. Excellent orientation for our camper purchase. Mike was extremely thorough, knowledgable and patient with our multiple questions and made a sincere offer for any future questions or concerns. Al was very upfront during the no pressure sales process during our first visit. The buying experience was seamless. I highly recommend this family owned business to anyone considering a RV purchase.
On picking up our Thor Ace Mike Rivas, Demo Specialist, did our walk through of the RV and briefing on the various systems. He was also excellent. Again e-mails were promptly responded too.
